I have had an interest in woodworking and the material itself from a young age. Taking up woodturning as a hobby allowed me to make complete items using only one machine.

 

Working for a company learning traditional joinery techniques allowed me to expand on what I could make and more importantly gave me an understanding of why these techniques are used.

 

Wood is not a stable material it swells, contracts and moves but the natural beauty and sheer variety even in one species or even tree makes it worth it.

 

As a craftsman I aim to combine the techniques I have learnt and apply them in new ways
