I am a contemporary lettering artist and designer, working mostly with paper. My interest in pattern, form and texture is based on an art and design background.

Originally from Sheffield, I studied Fashion Design at Nottingham College of Art.  

 

After moving to Norfolk, I rekindled my interest in calligraphy. Learning traditonal scripts formed a solid foundation for the experimental lettering and expressive art that is my current practice. 

 

I hope that by using words and letters in different ways – whether complementing an image or purely as an attractive design – I am able to make calligraphy and lettering as an art form, interesting and exciting.
